Practice Rounds
Each registered and paid player may play 1 ($25 cart fee) practice round per course. Some dates and times are excluded. Please contact the golf courses for availability. Reservations are required.Playing Format

Better Ball
The two players on the team each play their own ball throughout the round. The low score, or better ball, among the two on each hole, is the team's score for that hole. Players receive 100% of handicap. Strokes are taken as they come on the scorecard. HANDICAP CANNOT REDUCE A SCORE BELOW PAR.

Cider Ridge
Scamble (Modified Scramble)
Like in a scramble, both members of the team tee off and the best ball of the two tee shots is selected. Both players move their balls to the spot of the best ball. From this point, the hole is played out at stroke play, with both members of the team playing their own ball into the hole. The low score, or better ball, among the two on each hole, is the team's score for that hole. Players receive 50% of handicap. Strokes are taken as they come on the scorecard. HANDICAP CANNOT REDUCE A SCORE BELOW PAR.

Silver Lakes
Scramble
In a scramble, each player tees off on each hole. The best of the tee shots is selected and both players play their second shots from that spot. The better of the second shots is determined, and then both play their third shots from that spot, and so on until the ball is holed.
- Registration for the 2025 Sunny King Charity Classic will go live on July 1, 2025.
- Entry Fee - $400.00 per person ($800.00/team) - carts and range balls included.
- Includes social activities listed above for golfer and date. Open bar on Friday and Saturday nights.
- Handicaps must be attested by a PGA professional and have a check attached payable to Sunny King Charity Classic.
- Entries are accepted on a “first come, first serve” basis only.
- Entry cards must be filled out in their entirety.
- Partnership handicap - no maximum stroke differential. Strokes are taken as they come on the scorecard.
- Flights are to be arranged by handicap. A handicap can score no lower than par.
- Ties are to be broken by total score at Anniston Country Club. If a tie still remains then the winner is to be determined by ACC scorecard regression.
- Maximum Teams - 204
- Non-participants - $100.00 per person per night.
- GAPBA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY.
- Inappropriate, offensive, or drunk and belligerent behavior, whether on the course or at nightly functions, will not be tolerated. Such behavior may result in team forfeiture and/or denial of future tournament participation.
- NO RAIN OUTS OR REFUNDS.
- All social functions will be held as scheduled.
- The amount of your contribution deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes is limited to the excess of the amount of any money contributed over the value of goods or services provided. Please consult your tax advisor for further details.
